 Winter school holidays = jammie days...so new pj's are on the sew list this week!

Fabric:  Top = Stenzo Gnomes at Play in Blue, Sleeves and pants  = Blood Red knit
Neckband, cuffs, = Stenzo Red Polka Dot knit

A fabulously quick and easy pattern! And like all Kwik Sew- it went together like a dream.

 I see lots of these in my future!

You can so sew socks!

I will say this..I can knit, and I adore hand knitted socks...but I lack the patience to stick it out. For me, it needs to happen NOW! So I got the idea to sew some socks. Some adorable stripey socks- using Crafty Mamas gorgeous stripey knits. The Hilco Campante and Campan knits are just the ticket. Their cotton/elastomeric blend give comfort and zing ( excellent recovery). So we have...

Pattern : Jalie 2453. I have had this about 2 years and I think it may be discontinued, but if anyone wants I can try and get it when I order this month.

There is a similar Kwik Sew , #3806, and I can get that too. ( we stock Kwik Sew as well!). 

I am quite pleased with how these turned out...the perfect project to use up your little bits!

Doing a little Farbenmix + Hilco Winter 2011 sewing...

 This is the new Hilco Winter 2011 "ZigZag Sweat ", funky huh? It makes a perfect Farbenmix AMELIE tunic ( hoodless version). It's paired up with some Riviera leggins ( SCKL- back in stock this week!) made from the lovely HILCO Ringel rib knit. And topped off perfectly with a Cheeky Bugs iron velour in Lime.
The AMELIE neckline and sleeves are finished with the Ringel knit also.

Fabric used?
AMELIE in largest size= 1m of ZigZag
RIVIERA leggins in size 152cm = 1m Ringel, with bits left over for trim etc.

Time taken?
Leggins = 30 min from start to finish
AMELIE =30 min tops. ( it's only 2 pieces plus trim!)


One very cool outfit, guaranteed 100% original. (unless you all make one..that'd be ok too!).

Our new season Winter 2011HILCO is here!









Beautiful new Campans, Campante, Ringel, Sweater knits , cords and velveteen.
Winter somehow seems just a little more bearable!

We were very lucky to have our order shipped out early- these normally do not arrive here til Spring.
